Assist in creating safe learning environment Implement classroom activities as directed Assist staff members with behavioral management Provide corrective feedback to students, and re-teach as necessary, to ensure that the students have mastered the objectives. Participate in workshops and trainings as required Assist with the preparation of accurate records and reports Maintain confidentiality regarding school matters Maintain positive relationships with staff and vendors Keep supervisor informed of potential problems or unusual events. Implement modifications in a student’s education plan as required. Demonstrate an understanding of the Imagine Schools Six Measures of Excellence in the execution of duties. Model positive character virtues and habits. Assist students in developing positive moral and performance character attributes. Follow all school/school board policies, rules and regulations Perform other duties as assigned by Principal/School Leader. Requirements Preferred Qualifications: · Education: High School Diploma · Experience: Pre-service experience required for this position · Knowledge, Ability & Skills: Good oral, written and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of theory and practice of student learning styles. Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations and statutes. Ability to remain pleasant and calm under sometimes-stressful circumstances. Ability to communicate cooperatively and constructively with other staff, students and parents in a multi-cultural environment. Computer skills including word processing, database, spreadsheet and graphics. Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as middle and high school students. Familiarity with lesson planning, curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management techniques. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and students. Experience in classroom management and working with individuals with diverse needs.
