Overview Heltronics Inc. is looking for a Engineering Supervisor/Technician to join our cable and wire harness department. This position is hands on and will support the production supervisor with the technical know how from engineering to equipment related issues. Responsibilities Become the technical liaison to the production supervisor, to keeping production moving and customers satisfied. Determine and identify materials needed and sequence of assembly by reading instructions from a job sheet, work order, diagram and/or wire list Read Technical drawings and setup the assembly boards to build wire harnesses Work with Production Supervisor and colleagues to improve quality and output of products Ensure wire harness meets specifications by setting up test equipment Setup and run equipment for production, such as wire harness cutting equipment, etc. Operate terminating machine, air/electric tools, air presses, stripping equipment, hand tools, soldering equipment and any other equipment needed to complete assemblies, following established safety practices and procedures Redesign wire harnesses in a software (i.e. Zuken, RapidHarness, etc.) for sample to production builds. Update Wire harnesses drawings with design software and follow Engineering Change protocols. Qualifications 5-10 years related experience Experience to solder small parts and just various hand tools.
