We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to serve client facilities in Athens and Jefferson, Georgia where |you'll be embedded on-site, making a measurable difference every single day.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Clinical Care
• Conduct nursing assessments and interventions within your scope of practice
• Evaluate employees with work-related injuries and illnesses for fitness for duty
• Provide first aid, triage, and return-to-work clearances
• Perform required screenings, medical surveillance exams, and pre-employment physicals
• Deliver health education and collaborate closely with client HR, safety, and operations staff
Case Management
• Manage personal and work-related injury cases per client policies and BHS guidelines
• Provide medical input on work-relatedness of injuries and illnesses to site leadership
• Coordinate independent medical examinations and interface with local hospitals and emergency providers
Program Leadership & Operations
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the occupational health unit to ensure quality and efficient use of resources
• Develop, administer, and maintain occupational health policies consistent with client and BHS goals
• Conduct program audits, gap analyses, and outcome/cost-savings measurement
• Ensure clinical documentation, OSHA compliance, and regulatory adherence
• Supervise and mentor BHS PRN site staff where applicable, coordinate staffing and onboarding support
• Support wellness initiatives, health promotion programming, and chronic condition management
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required Qualifications
• Current RN license in the state of Georgia
• BLS Certification (current)
• 3-5 years of nursing experience
• 2-5 years of occupational health nursing strongly preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) minimum or Associate/Diploma Degree with Bachelor's in a related field such as business or safety.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN or COHN-S)
• Certification in Hearing Conservation and/or Spirometry/Pulmonary Function Testing
• 5+ years of occupational health experience for manager-level consideration
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
• Working knowledge of OSHA, FMLA, Workers' Compensation, ADA, and EEOC regulations
• Familiarity with ergonomics, industrial hygiene, toxicology, and epidemiology
• Comfortable interacting with and presenting to senior client management teams
• Ability to manage ambiguity, make sound decisions with incomplete information, and handle competing priorities
• Political savvy - ability to navigate complex inter-organizational dynamics effectively
• Strong emotional intelligence: self-awareness, empathy, self-regulation, and motivation
• Ability to organize, plan independently, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
SCHEDULE & LOCATION
Monday-Friday: 7:30 AM-4:30 PM
Alternating schedule: 4 days at Athens, GA facility, 1 day at Jefferson, GA warehouse**Reports
