Modeling Engineer
The client is seeking a Process Modeling Engineer (M.S. + 4 years or Ph.D.) with strong expertise in solid mechanics and numerical modeling to support process and product improvements for glass and ceramic materials .
The ideal candidate has:
• Strong experience in FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and preferably BEM
• Hands-on exposure to open-source FEA tools (Abaqus/Ansys preferred)
• Deep understanding of loading conditions, strain behavior, and structural mechanics
• Experience in thin film modeling and interface adhesion
• Knowledge of soft materials (polymers, gels) and material testing methods
• Strong mathematical and programming skills
This role focuses on modeling new processes, improving product performance, supporting failure analysis, leading testing efforts, and collaborating with global teams , with up to 10% travel.
