Sigma Systems is currently hiring an Active Ingredient Technician to support vaccine production in a regulated cleanroom manufacturing environment in Athens, GA.

🔬 Job Overview
The Active Ingredient Technician is responsible for preparing vaccine components in an aseptic cleanroom environment using virus and cell culture techniques, in compliance with USDA regulations.
This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to SOPs, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
✅ Key Responsibilities

Perform vaccine component preparation using aseptic techniques in a cleanroom environment

Follow USDA regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Complete and review in-process documentation for accuracy and compliance

Maintain technical data and support documentation

Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions

Support deviation investigations and change control processes

Assist with training and coaching team members

Demonstrate strong commitment to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) initiatives

Support site projects and continuous improvement (Lean Manufacturing principles)

Escalate production flow disturbances as needed
🎓 Qualifications
Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Strong organizational and time management skills

Exceptional attention to detail

Basic math skills

Strong problem-solving ability

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems

Ability to work in a team-based environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:

Degree in Biology or related field

1+ year laboratory or manufacturing experience

Cleanroom and aseptic technique knowledge

Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles

Equipment or automation troubleshooting experience
