Accountant

We are looking for an Accounting professional for a position in Greenwood, South Carolina. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your accounting expertise in a dynamic environment, ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes. The role requires someone with strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure accurate financial records.

• Prepare and post journal entries in compliance with accounting standards.

• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.

• Assist with month-end closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and create detailed reports.

• Reconcile accounts to maintain accuracy and transparency in financial transactions.

• Contribute to budgeting processes by reviewing financial data and providing insights.

• Calculate and manage depreciation schedules for fixed assets

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a focus on accuracy and detail.

• Proficiency in managing general ledger operations and journal entries.

• Expertise in performing bank reconciliations and month-end close activities.

• Strong skills in account reconciliation and ensuring data accuracy.

• Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial planning.

• Understanding of depreciation calculations and asset management.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Hours: flexible - open to someone working 32 hours or 40 hours
