Position Description This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the DHA for Advanced Degree Candidates at Science and Technology Reinvention Labs. Position Duties/Responsibilities • You will serve as an Engineer in the Air Systems Group, Propulsion and Power Eng Department, Modeling and Analysis Division, Structural Integrity BR of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
• You will deliver optimized technical solutions that are balanced to achieve required technical performance within cost, schedule and technology constraints.
• You will function as a project lead, program manager, team lead or member of an integrated team/group providing technical guidance to a technical workforce and meeting customer requirements for products and/or services.
• You will act as a Project/Program Engineer in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles and processes in research and engineering, test and evaluation and logistics functions
• You will develop and execute program plans to support critical component continued airworthiness including component analysis and testing.
• You will identify and solve a wide variety of complex problems with many competing objectives, variables and constraints.
• You will perform evaluations of industry technical assessments used to establish propulsion system fracture-safety critical parts field limits.
• You will perform analysis of aircraft flight data to establish mission severity, validate life-prediction algorithms, and implement mission data analytics to trend and monitor operational usage.
• You will perform time-sensitive risk and reliability assessments of propulsion system components to support aircraft level assessments balancing safety, availability, and affordability.
• You will develop, communicate and present technical findings / results to program customers in a concise manner.
