Description
Laboratory Blood Bank Supervisor, Fulltime, St Mary’s Hospital, in Athens, GA *10,000 Sign on Bonus
Position Purpose
Responsible for the daily operation of the Blood Bank Department
What You Will Do
• This includes staffing, training, scheduling, supply management and the supervision of testing performed.
• Responsible for maintaining policy and procedures in accordance with CAP guidelines, and monitoring of quality control practices in the Core Lab.
• Must also recognize results or problems that require referral to the Pathologist or Laboratory Director.
What You Will Need
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Medical Technologist, ASCP, AMT or NCA
• Education: B.S. in Medical Technology or Applied Sciences, 5 years’ experience and an alternate method of obtaining MT may be substituted for degree.
• Experience: 5 or more years’ experience is preferred.
