Compensation: $125,000-150,000 + Bonuses
We are a $13M+ commercial landscape and snow management company with 65+ full-time and 150+ seasonal team members and a strong reputation in our market.
We are hiring a hands-on Controller to own and build our internal finance function.
This is not a back-office accounting role.
This person will sit at the intersection of:
• Operations
• Sales
• Snow risk
• Cash flow
• Systems (Aspire + QuickBooks Online)
Your job is simple in concept but critical in execution:
Turn financial data into operational control, margin protection, and cash predictability, without slowing the business down.
What You’ll Own
• Monthly close (5–7 business days)
• Accurate division P&Ls (Landscape + Snow)
• Job costing integrity and WIP reporting
• 13-week rolling cash forecasts
• Billing and AR oversight for large commercial clients
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Financial systems optimization (Aspire + QBO)
You will not be buried in bureaucracy.
You will not manage a massive accounting department.
You will build and lead a lean, high-performing finance function inside a growing service business.
This Role Is a Great Fit If You:
• Have 5–10+ years of accounting/finance experience
• Understand job costing and percent-complete revenue recognition
• Have worked in construction, landscaping, snow, or similar project-based industries
• Can explain financial performance to non-financial leaders
• Are comfortable rolling up your sleeves
• Want ownership, not just a title
Experience with Aspire is a strong plus.
CPA preferred but not required.

Compensation
Base: $125,000 – $150,000
Bonus potential: 10–20%
