Job Description
As an EMT Certified Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol , in Reading, PA , you will be a member of a pre-hospital emergency care medical team. You will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an EMT certified Security Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for all. You will conduct regular patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. As this is a driving post, you will also be responsible for mobile patrols as required. What You'll Do:
• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and documenting actions taken per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or access concerns.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying identification and/or authorization for employees, contractors, and deliveries, and directing visitors according to site procedures.
• Complete reports and logs such as patrol activity, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and communicate with site leadership and Allied Universal management as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• EMT Certification is required.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
