Job Description:
• The Packaging Technician is responsible for labeling, inspecting, and packaging vaccines while ensuring target production rates are achieved.
• This role involves operating packaging equipment, maintaining compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, supporting quality standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet production goals in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
• Perform labeling, inspecting, and packaging of vaccines.
• Operate packaging equipment such as labelers, pick-and-place machines, heat tunnels, vision systems, and forklifts.
• Ensure production targets and line rates are met.
• Inspect products accurately and efficiently to meet quality guidelines.
• Perform equipment setup and changeovers.
• Conduct initial troubleshooting of packaging equipment issues.
• Ensure proper cGMP documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Read, understand, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Prepare QA line clearances as required.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Maintain facilities and equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Cross-train in other departmental areas as needed to meet business requirements.
• Communicate processing needs and production progress to team members and supervisors.
• Escalate process-related issues promptly to the Shift Line Leader or Supervisor.
• Monitor processes against manufacturing records, data capture forms, and procedures.
• Participate in daily team performance reviews.
• Complete batch documentation for materials consumed during production.
• Adhere to defined process sequences and provide feedback on improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental programs and report unsafe conditions or practices.
Experience:
• Two to three years of manufacturing experience.
• Equipment and process troubleshooting experience.
• Experience working in a quality-focused production environment.
Skills:
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues effectively.
Qualification And Education:
• High school diploma required.
• Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Forklift certification preferred.
