Athens Real Estate Group is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks and will play a key role during the Athens “Turn” that takes place this summer. The ideal candidate for this position is customer service-driven, reliable, and committed to consistently meeting deadlines. In all tasks, strive to preserve the value of the properties we manage. Roles and Responsibilities Assist with maintenance operations and repairs of the property Complete work orders in a timely manner Accurately document time, materials, and labor, including detailed notes/photos regarding repairs, electronically and in real time Perform preventative maintenance Identify and address safety and security risks Inspect the physical condition of the property and report any problems to the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager Complete property inspections Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with organizing and implementing a successful turn Ensure confidentiality of resident and company information Maintain active and effective communication with both our residents and our diverse team Be available on weekends and after hours for emergency calls Report time and attendance Requirements 2 years of experience with electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair Must have excellent communication and people skills HVAC certification preferred Ability to be on call Ability to use hands, tools, and machinery Ability to stoop, kneel, climb, crawl, etc., as it pertains to duties Ability to lift heavy objects Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week Experience: Maintenance: 2 years (Required) License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Work Location: In person
