Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Countertop Installer/Fabricator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and installing countertops with precision, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to project specifications. This role offers an opportunity to work on a variety of residential and commercial projects, utilizing a diverse set of construction skills. Candidates should have a strong background in construction, fabrication, and installation processes, with the ability to read blueprints and operate various tools and equipment. Duties Measure, cut, shape, and fabricate countertops using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and installation. Prepare surfaces by performing tasks such as caulking, trimming, or finishing to ensure seamless installation. Install countertops securely on cabinets or designated areas following safety standards and project guidelines. Collaborate with team members to coordinate the fabrication and installation process efficiently. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials properly. Operate heavy equipment as needed for material handling or site preparation. Perform quality inspections during fabrication and installation to meet client specifications and industry standards. Skills Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., saws, drills), power tools (e.g., grinders, sanders), and heavy equipment operation. Knowledge of construction management practices and site safety protocols. Familiarity with caulking, trim carpentry, framing carpentry, painting, restoration projects—all relevant to comprehensive construction projects. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and reading schematics or schematics related to fixtures or systems.
