Today, the chefs of Upper Crust Food Service prepare tens of thousands of meals weekly for students across the country. About The Role We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Utility team member to join our Operations department. This hourly, full-time role plays a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. You will ensure that the kitchen environment is organized and well-prepared, helping our team deliver exceptional service. What You'll Do Maintain cleanliness standards in all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and cookware. Ensure that kitchen equipment and tools are sanitized and stored properly. Assist in food preparation by providing clean and organized workstations for kitchen staff. Remove kitchen waste and dispose of it in a safe and sanitary manner. Monitor and restock inventory when necessary, such as cleaning supplies and kitchen tools. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department. Follow all safety, hygiene, and food handling protocols to ensure compliance with regulations. Qualifications Previous experience in a kitchen, food service, or cleaning environment is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Strong time management and organizational skills. Basic understanding of hygiene and safety protocols in a kitchen environment. Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks such as standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs). Effective communication skills in English to collaborate with team members. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
