Mote Marine is a non-profit research facility and major public attraction with multiple locations throughout the state. We’re seeking an Senior Information System Specialist with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft server environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to broaden their expertise across cloud services, identity management, and network operations. Job Description: Provide day-to-day support (onsite and remote) for Microsoft Windows Server environments and endpoints Manage and maintain Active Directory, including user accounts, groups, and GPOs Assist with identity and access management in Microsoft Entra Support and troubleshoot non-standard technical and analytical equipment Schedule, execute and validate system backups using various tools. Review and interpret firewall logs and assist with basic security investigations Diagnose and resolve networking issues across LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi Respond to User support requests across a multi-location organization of over 300 users Collaborate on the creation of updated policies and procedures. Contribute with IT teammates on system updates, documentation, and process improvements Interface with end users to resolve support tickets efficiently and professionally What We’re Looking For 3–5 years of professional IT support experience Strong skills with desktops/laptops (iOS & MS) Experience in Microsoft Windows Server administration Working knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, and Azure Experience with firewall log analysis and network troubleshooting Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V) a plus Curious, resourceful, and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset Why You’ll Love Working With Us Competitive salary and excellent benefits Opportunities for ongoing training and professional development Supportive team environment with room to grow Exposure to modern cloud and security technologies Ongoing challenges as our environment continues to expand and evolve.
