Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified MS Social Studies Teacher to join our school partner. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in social studies, curriculum development, and classroom management, with a passion for fostering student engagement and academic excellence. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction, developing innovative lesson plans, and supporting students' academic growth within a dynamic learning environment. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive social studies curricula aligned with state standards guidelines. Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate various learning technologies and instructional design principles. Deliver instruction across multiple social studies topics, including history, geography, civics, and economics. Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment conducive to student success. Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations. Provide tutoring and academic advising to support diverse learner needs, including students requiring special education accommodations. Incorporate research skills, literacy education, and creative writing activities to enhance critical thinking and communication skills. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and school initiatives. Engage in professional development opportunities related to education administration, learning technology, and pedagogical best practices. Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress with parents and guardians. Skills Strong knowledge of social studies content areas and curriculum development methodologies. Experience with instructional design, research methods Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to motivate students across various grade levels. Effective communication skills for engaging students, parents, and colleagues professionally. Organizational skills necessary for lesson planning, standardized testing preparation, and educational administration tasks. Familiarity with learning technology platforms and tools for enhancing classroom instruction. Experience working with diverse student populations Knowledge of behavior management strategies to foster a respectful and productive classroom environment.
