Janitor - First Shift
Position Overview
Stripling's General Store is seeking a dependable and hardworking Full-Time Janitor to join our team. The Janitor plays a key role in keeping our store clean, safe, and welcoming for both customers and staff. This position requires attention to detail, consistency, and pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the store.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
• Maintain overall cleanliness of the store, including restrooms, floors, break areas, and common spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces to ensure a spotless environment.
• Empty trash and recycling bins regularly and ensure proper disposal.
• Break down and dispose of cardboard boxes.
• Restock supplies in restrooms and employee areas as needed.
• Clean windows, doors, and entryways to maintain a welcoming appearance.
• Monitor and address spills, messes, or safety hazards promptly.
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or reporting needed repairs.
• Uphold Stripling's standards for cleanliness, quality, and safety at all times.
• Support the team by helping with seasonal or special cleaning projects.
Minimum Qualifications
• Previous janitorial, custodial, or cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and follow cleaning schedules.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, and stand for long periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed.
• Friendly and professional attitude when around customers and coworkers.
The pay range for this position begins at $14.00 per hour and varies based on the experience of the applicant.
