This work is typically reserved for new pilots as a way to get them started in the company while they expand their skillset for more specialized services, such as technical mapping and advanced sensor operations. We are committed to technical excellence and the development of a professional drone workforce through a structured, performance-based talent pipeline.
Role Description
We are seeking professional Part 107 Drone Operators to join the Avitia Aviation Technologies LLC Certified Operator Network (AAT-CON) . This is an independent contractor role where you will execute technical missions across three distinct service tiers: Commercial Media, Technical Mapping, and Advanced Sensor Operations. Operators must adhere to strict Avitia Aviation Technologies LLC operational instructions, including KML/KMZ boundaries, overlap parameters, and sensor settings. You will act as an on-site representative of the company, interfacing professionally with site superintendents and client safety officers.
Key Responsibilities
• Technical Data Acquisition: Execute missions according to specific tier requirements, ranging from creative marketing visuals (Tier 1) to technical photogrammetry (Tier 2) and advanced LiDAR/Thermal data collection (Tier 3).
• Compliance & SOP Adherence: Operate strictly within flight plans, sensor settings, and safety protocols provided by Avitia Aviation Technologies LLC .
• Data Rights & Security: Deliver all specified data outputs and follow protocols to delete all local copies within seven (7) days of confirmed transfer.
• On-Site Representation: Maintain a professional appearance and manage site-specific safety protocols, including OSHA and PPE requirements.
• Safety Documentation: Report any accidents, near-misses, or regulatory violations to Avitia Aviation Technologies LLC within 24 hours.
Qualifications
• Certification: Valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (Required).
• Enterprise Hardware: Operators must use approved enterprise-grade aircraft (e.g., DJI Enterprise, Autel Enterprise, Skydio, or Freefly platforms).
• Insurance: Ability to maintain aviation general liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000, naming Avitia Aviation Technologies LLC as an "Additional Insured".
• Background Verification: Willingness to undergo identity verification and criminal history checks as required for sensitive client sites or critical infrastructure.
• Technical Background: Demonstrated experience in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) or Industrial Inspections (e.g., utilities, infrastructure, agriculture, or solar).
• Advanced Technical Licenses (for Tiers II & III):
* Thermal Inspections: Must hold a Thermography Level 1 or higher for any Tier 3 thermal work.
* Safety Certifications: Active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Construction Safety certification is required.
* Specialized Training: Active OSHA RF (Radio Frequency) Awareness certification for work neartelecommunications and critical infrastructure.
