As a Quality Auditor at Caterpillar, you will:Perform quality inspection based on the check- list of inspection points/proceduresComplete inspections using a checklist and tooling provided (static tools, dry leak testing, Cab electrical tests, templates, etc.)Perform overall quality inspection at quality gates or at pre-delivery inspection.Use lifting devices to move heavy components of weights of more than 35lbsInspect products to ensure it meets the specificationsGather data from various tools and tooling systems and document quality issues into a computer system and flag defects for repairBasic Qualifications:Manufacturing experience **Role requires overtime on a short notice to support business needs. **Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):Willing and able to stand for prolonged periodsWilling and able to perform repetitive operationsWilling and able to lift up to 35 lbs.Willing and able to pass eye exam for visual weld inspectionTop candidates will also have:Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointIntermediate proficiency in SAP softwarePrevious quality experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience with inspection and product auditing processesIntermediate proficiency with measurement equipment and gagesHeavy equipment machine assembly experience with tractors or excavatorsAdditional Information: Resumes are highly encouraged for all applicants.
