Visiting Lecturer of Psychology
Job Responsibilities
The Department of Psychological Science & Human Services at Lander University invites applications for a Visiting Lecturer of Psychology that will teach at Dorman High School in Spartanburg from July 30, 2026 – May 10, 2027.
This position includes 30 hrs. of teaching (a 5/5 load) with service responsibilities related to dual enrollment. This position is centered upon courses for qualified dual enrollment students at Dorman High School and one course online. The candidate should be committed to teaching excellence and working effectively with a diverse student population.
The Department offers a B.S. in Psychology, B.S. in Human Services, and minors in Child and Family Studies, Human Services, Pre-Social Work, and Psychology in face-to-face and online delivery modes. Lander supports on-going training and professional development through its Center for Faculty Excellence.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
Candidates should possess a master’s degree in psychology by the time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications
University-level teaching experience of the introductory General Psychology course in a face-to-face format is strongly preferred.
