Senior Inventory Accountant
Compensation: $105,000–$115,000 base + bonus
Work Model: Hybrid (in-office 2x per week)
Travel : Some local travel is required for site visits

Overview
We’re partnering with a growing, private equity–backed healthcare organization to hire a Senior Inventory Accountant . This role sits at the intersection of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and operational finance, partnering closely with Operations, Procurement, and FP&A. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys owning inventory accuracy end-to-end, improving processes, and operating in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Own inventory accounting and cost of goods sold, including valuation, reserves, and adjustments
• Perform monthly inventory close activities (reconciliations, roll-forwards, journal entries)
• Analyze inventory trends including slow-moving inventory, shrink, expirations, and write-downs
• Coordinate and support physical inventory counts and cycle counts across multiple locations
• Investigate and resolve inventory variances and negative margin drivers
• Ensure proper accounting for intercompany inventory transfers
• Prepare inventory-related schedules and support audit requests
• Maintain and strengthen inventory-related internal controls
• Partner cross-functionally to improve inventory accuracy, reporting, and close efficiency
• Collaborate with FP&A on inventory forecasting, margins, and planning
• Support ad hoc analysis as needed
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience with strong inventory and cost accounting exposure
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a growing organization
• Exposure to ERP systems (Sage Intacct a plus)
