What you\u2019ll do:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:\u00a0
In the Assembly Technician role, you assemble, wire, and modify work based on specified guidelines in the manufacture of medium and high voltage, indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, customer service orders, power modules, and any sub-assemblies associated with these.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\u00a0
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Assemble, wire, fit, and modify high complex assemblies, including non-standard such as Special Assembly, Power Companies, and Pull and Switch Sections, demonstrating advanced understanding.\u00a0
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Fill out ISO checklists, quality checklists, customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists for supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering as required.
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wire operations as needed.
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Regularly lift and assemble with heavy copper parts.
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Maintain minimum levels of Kanban inventory and report shortages to appropriate operators.
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Inspect all assemblies for loose or missing hardware and cleanliness.
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Respond to change notices, customer requested adjustments, and development needs.
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Assist engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer-initiated development work.
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Work to manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, written or oral instructions from supervision or Engineering to established procedures.
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Pull drawings for units using ENOVIA.
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. \u00a0Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0At least 1 year in a SG37 assembly role.
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Completed qualifications through pay for skill.\u00a0
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0At least 1 year of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0At least 1 year of experience using hand and air tools.
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Strong experience in reading Manufacturing Information (MI)
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent

\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Utilize various hand and power tools, step ladder and crane to assemble and verify quality in a Lean environment.
\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Must be able to use standard computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook/Teams and job specific programs such as ENOVIA.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; reach at or above shoulder level; grip; and use hands to handle and feel. The employee is frequently required to walk; stoop; lift; carry; push; pull; and grip. The employee is frequently required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to push/pull up to or greater than 50 pounds. The employee may be required to use material handling equipment, including powered industrial vehicles. The vision requirements include far and close vision with depth perception and color discrimination. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to listen and to talk.
