Quality - Quality Technician
Summary
Responsible for performing measurement and testing of raw materials, finished products and packaging.
Duties
• Make observations, analyze data and interpret test results.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports, summaries, protocols, and analysis of test results.
• Recommend processes for improving test methodology.
• Participate in problem solving and process improvement to correct failures, to meet customer commitments or company metrics and performance.
• Promote and utilize 5-S standards for the line to improve efficiency, cleanliness and safety.
• Operate measurement tools including calipers, micrometers and CMM.
• Read and interpret detailed prints and drawings.
• Other duties as assigned.
Education And Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and 2+ years of experience; or Associate’s degree and 6 months-1 year of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities.
Ability to exhibit sound and accurate judgement.
Reacts well under pressure, treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position and accepts responsibility for own actions.
Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently.
Ability to meet productivity standards.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. periodically throughout the day.
