Summary:
We are seeking a Fleet Technician to join our team. The level of the position will be determined based on the candidate's experience and technical proficiency. Responsibilities range from performing routine preventative maintenance and basic repairs under supervision to executing advanced diagnostics, complex system overhauls, and providing technical leadership within the shop.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The following duties represent the scope of the fleet department; specific daily tasks will align with the technician's level of experience -
Perform routine preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and service vehicle systems including brakes, air systems, electrical, hydraulics, and driveline components.
Utilize shop computer systems and OEM diagnostic software (e.g., Mack, Volvo, International) to identify equipment failures and determine appropriate repair methods.
(Senior Level) Proficiently service engine emission systems, internal engine components, HVAC, and perform welding or fabrication.
Accurately complete work orders and evaluate repairs prior to releasing vehicles to service to ensure compliance with DOT and company standards.
Respond to road calls and perform emergency repairs as necessary.
Senior technicians will mentor and guide Level I and II technicians, supporting repair strategy decisions.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment and follow all OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company safety regulations.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
Intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, crouching, walking, lifting light and heavy objects. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 lbs. Required to sit, stand, walk use hands to finger, handle, feel, talk, hear, to reach with hands or arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and smell. Must be able to lay on back on a mechanic's dolly to work underneath motor vehicle equipment. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Associates must be free of any conditions which result in temporary loss of consciousness or ability to reason. Work is performed with exposure to noise, chemicals, noxious odors gases, poor ventilation, inclement weather, dirt, grease, dust and machinery with moving parts requiring use of protective devices
