Procurement Buyer
Role: Buying Specialist
Level: Experienced Associate
Company: Confidential
Location: Scottsdale preferred, hybrid work possible for well qualified candidates.
Sponsorship: Not offered
Overview:
Are you passionate about renewable energy and ready to help build the future of the grid? We’re looking for a motivated Buyer to join our team! In this role, you’ll be the bridge between our projects and the essential Utility-Scale Solar components that make them happen.
If you’re a natural relationship-builder who loves the "art of the deal" and wants to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Building Partnerships: You’ll identify and get to know top-tier suppliers, making sure they align with our high standards and values.
• The Art of Negotiation: You’ll assist in navigating contracts, ensuring we get the best terms while keeping our risks low.
• Driving the RFx Process: You’ll lead "request for" events, making sure project designs, pricing, and quality are all perfectly in sync.
• Analyzing & Recommending: You won’t just crunch numbers; you’ll analyze quotes and make the final call on who we should partner with for our next big win.
• Keeping the Pulse: You’ll monitor supplier performance, solve any hiccups in delivery or quality, and keep our purchasing system organized and up-to-date.
• Collaboration is Key: You’ll work closely with our Engineering, Estimating, and Ops teams to make sure our sourcing strategy supports our big-picture goals.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
• Experience: You have at least 2 years of experience as a Buyer in Construction or Engineering. (If you’ve worked in Solar or Power Gen, that’s a huge plus!)
• Education: A 2-year degree in Business/Management or equivalent hands-on experience in the field.
• Tech Savvy: You’re a pro with Microsoft Office (Excel is your best friend) and ideally have some experience with Viewpoint.
• Communication: You’re a clear, friendly communicator—whether you're writing an email or chatting on the phone.
• Adventure: You’re open to traveling when the job needs a boots-on-the-ground perspective.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
• Competitive Pay: $80,000 - $120,000 annually (depending on your unique experience and skills).
• Annual Bonus
• Great Benefits: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision, plus FSA/HSA options.
• Future Planning: 401K with a company match and both Short/Long Term Disability insurance.
• Work-Life Balance: Generous Paid Time Off, Paid Company Holidays, and Colorado-compliant paid sick leave.
