As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage visitor and vehicle entry, verify credentials, log activity, and support smooth yard and dock operations. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide clear customer service and communication to drivers and staff. What You'll Do:
• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, checking visitor and contractor authorization, issuing badges and/or passes, and directing drivers to designated docks and staging areas.
• Monitor and document inbound and outbound traffic, including trucks, trailers, and deliveries, by maintaining accurate access logs and reporting irregularities per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching notifications, completing incident reports, and assisting with coordination with onsite personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility interior, exterior, and perimeter, including yard areas and parking zones, while watching for conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access and/or theft.
Minimum Requirements:
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
