Job Summary:
Experienced Procurement professional, overseeing processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals. Takes action on changes identified in price trends and manufacturing processes to ensure successful a procurement process. This position will focus on sourcing for both OEM and Aftermarket New Product Introductions.
• Manages execution of processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and program execution.
• Manages New Product Introductions for OEM and Aftermarket in partnership with BU and Corporate teams.
• Responsible for overall supplier performance to include Supplier on Time Delivery and Quality.
• Approves and qualifies suppliers to fulfill business needs.
• Takes action on the changes identified in price trends and manufacturing processes to ensure a successful procurement process.
• Controls spend and builds a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs.
• Responds to critical customer issues and problems.
• Monitors suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
• Authorizes purchase orders, negotiates prices and approves payments to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.
• Reviews and executes Request for Proposals (RFPs) and bid packages.
• Monitors and manages supplier invoicing issues and late payments.
• Responsible for the negotiation and execution of desired payment terms and conditions with suppliers.
• Conducts Strategic Sourcing activities to support secondary sourcing and new product development.
• Analyzes contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to help determine need for changes.
• Executes Long Term Agreements (LTAs) with suppliers.
Experience and Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics or Business
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Purchasing and / or Supply Chain Management
• Preferred Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business
• Preferred 7-10 years of progressive experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Purchasing and / or Supply Chain Management
• Experience using supply chain management software and tools, including JDE, Oracle, SAP, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access)
• Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Highly organized, result driven and detail-oriented
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
