Martarano Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. MEI is a rapidly growing firm looking for professionals excited to expand their career in mechanical, plumbing and fire protection design. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Mechanical Engineering program with experience designing HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems. The candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of architectural, engineering and construction industry and knowledge of code compliance requirements and industry standards. Must be able to manage multiple projects and have strong oral and written communications skills and experience and a working understanding of computer programs, i.e. Word, Excel, AutoCAD/Revit, ComCheck. Licenses required: EIT preparing or already having taken the PE exam is a minimum. Registered Professional Engineer capable of obtaining license in PA, OH, NJ, NY, DE, MD, if not already registered in those states. Three (3) yrs experience with EIT minimum; 5+ yrs experience with PE preferred. Responsibilities: Calculate heating and cooling loads for building systems Survey existing mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems Design air distribution and exhaust systems Select and layout mechanical equipment Calculate and design domestic water, sanitary and gas piping system and equipment.
