Assistant Project Superintendent The Assistant Superintendent provides general support for the Project Superintendent. They serve as additional field presence for Whitewood and can fill in for the Project Superintendent upon their absence. Other responsibilities include loading and unloading material, punch work oversight and field documentation. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Athens, GA for an Assistant Superintendent. The Assistant Superintendent will assist the Superintendent in day-to-day construction site activities, ensure project timelines are met, and oversee subcontractors to maintain project specifications and standards. Responsibilities include monitoring safety compliance, coordinating schedules, tracking project progress and field documentation, and ensuring proper materials and equipment are available on-site. This role requires strong leadership and communication with the construction team to achieve a successful project. Qualifications Proficiency in construction scheduling, time management, and project planning OSHA 10 required. Experience supervising subcontractors and overseeing daily on-site operations Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail Familiarity with reading and analyzing constructionplans and details Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams Proficiency in construction management software and related tools is a plus Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred Previous construction or site management experience is preferred.
