Job Description Athens Real Estate Group is looking for an experienced plumber to join our team. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks and will play a key role during the Athens “Turn” that takes place this summer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties. In all tasks, strive to preserve the value of the properties we manage. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with maintenance operations and property repairs Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing systems Diagnose plumbing issues and implement effective solutions Test plumbing systems for leaks and other issues Complete work orders in a timely manner Accurately document time, materials, and labor, including detailed notes and photos regarding repairs, electronically and in real time Perform preventative maintenance Identify and address safety and security risks Inspect the physical condition of properties and report any problems to the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with organizing and implementing a successful turn Ensure confidentiality of resident and company information Maintain active and effective communication with both residents and a diverse team Be available on weekends and after hours for emergency calls (rotating schedule) Report time and attendance REQUIREMENTS: 2 years of proven experience as a plumber Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and safety regulations Proficiency with plumbing tools and equipment Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Good physical stamina and the ability to work in various conditions Strong communication and customer service skills Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) matching Paid time off Experience: Plumbing: 2 years (Required) Ability to Commute: Athens, GA 30605 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Athens, GA 30605: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
