PRN Registered Nurse (RN) – Home Healthcare (Pediatric Focus) Location: Athens, GA Pay Rate: $45 - $50 per hour Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a PRN home healthcare role in Athens, GA . This position requires pediatric experience and the ability to provide high-quality, individualized care in a home setting . The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assessing, monitoring, and managing pediatric patients with medical complexities while supporting families and caregivers. Responsibilities: ✔ Provide one-on-one skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in a home healthcare setting. ✔ Administer medications, injections, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed. ✔ Monitor and assess vital signs, respiratory status, and overall health of the patient. ✔ Perform and manage G-tube feedings, tracheostomy care, and ventilator support as needed. ✔ Educate and guide families and caregivers on pediatric care, emergency response, and safety measures. ✔ Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR). ✔ Coordinate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. ✔ Adhere to infection control and patient safety standards in a home setting. Qualifications: ✅ Active RN license in the state of Georgia. ✅ Minimum of 1-2 years of pediatric nursing experience (home healthcare experience preferred). ✅ Current BLS/CPR certification (PALS preferred). ✅ Experience with tracheostomy care, ventilator management, seizure disorders, and G-tube feedings is a plus. ✅ Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills . ✅ Ability to work independently and adapt to different home environments . ✅ Must have reliable transportation and be comfortable traveling within the Athens, GA area.
