First Presbyterian Preschool is seeking a qualified, energetic, and nurturing teacher to join our nationally accredited early childhood program. Responsibilities Design and implement creative, engaging lesson plans rooted in developmentally appropriate practice Observe and support each child's social, emotional, and cognitive development Encourage cooperation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution among peers Foster artistic, practical, and critical thinking skills through hands-on activities Track developmental progress and communicate daily with families Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment Collaborate with colleagues and attend weekly/monthly planning meetings Complete a minimum of 25 hours of continuing education annually Ensure compliance with all licensing and health & safety standards What We’re Looking For Completion of Florida DCF 45-hour mandated training 3–5 years of experience in a preschool or early childhood setting Deep understanding of child development and early learning principles Experience with Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD Strong communication and instructional skills Friendly, calm, and dependable personality with a practical mindset Ability to build strong relationships with children and families CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) Compensation & Schedule This is a part-time position, ranging from 22 to 30 hours per week.
