Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Materials Manager to oversee our supply chain operations and ensure the efficient procurement and management of materials in our new Orthopedic/Spine Surgery Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management for medical supplies, inventory planning, supplier management, computer skills, communication and organizational skills. This role is crucial for maintaining optimal inventory levels, reducing costs, and enhancing overall operational efficiency in our ambulatory surgery center. Duties Receive and inspect all orders, create purchase orders, identify the equipment and supplies that need to be purchased for the surgery center Manage supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Utilize systems such as SAP and ENVY for tracking inventory levels, orders, and deliveries. Monitor supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices. Coordinate with surgeons and director to support goals and resolve any material-related issues. Maintain accurate records of materials purchased, inventory levels and purchase orders. Willing to be a team player in all areas of the surgery center. Qualifications: Proven experience in materials management, preferably in a hospital or ambulatory surgery setting. Proficiency in SAP, ENVY or similar systems is highly desirable. Exceptional organizational skills, computer skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
