Position Summary
The individual is expected to develop a comprehensive beef research and Extension program in the successful candidate’s area(s) of expertise, but emphasis will be placed on the ability to develop an internationally recognized Extension and research program. This faculty member will be expected to supervise graduate students and interns.

Extension-develop methods to improve the efficiency of beef production using both forage and grain in Georgia, aligns with the need to conduct research that investigates areas such as fetal programming, calf health and weaning management, growing systems that emphasize efficiency of production, and life cycle cow nutrition

Research-Lead an independent research program that utilizes the beef farms at Calhoun, J. Phil Campbell, Athens, and Eatonton, as well as to collaborating with other faculty from the Tifton and Athens campuses. Will also be expected to support the bull and heifer evaluation programs in Calhoun, and Tifton as needed
