Apply today and join us and help drive innovation and operational success at our Athens site!KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform control loop checks for instrumentation, control equipment, and computer field instruments; some instrumentation for common process control loops include, but are not limited to: pressure transmitters and temperature transmitters, PH calibrations, etc.Calibrate/tune instruments and maintain documentation of calibrations.Survey available instrumentation equipment and install and repair instrument and control equipment.Evaluate and update shop and field instrumentation procedures.Maintain tools and test equipment and keep abreast of the latest control and instrument technology.Analyze requirements for instrument calibrations, installations, tests, final check-outs and field testing; develop plans for installation and start-up.Check instrumentation design documents to ensure compliance with applicable standards and codes.As needed, train maintenance personnel in instrument and control procedures and serve on various committees and teams to enhance operations at the plant site.Assist in preparation of instrument design specifications and standardization of systems to improve performance and serviceability.Develop written calibration and verification procedures for all measurement and process control devices.Perform duties with attention to quality, safety, and environmental matters; comply with FDA, EPA, OSHA, DEA, and site policies.QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION:Minimum of a High School or equivalent diploma is required; an Associate's degree (AA/AS) in Instrument/Electronic Technology or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is highly preferredCertifications in ISA, Electronics, or Controls are preferredEXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:Required:Minimum 6 years of relevant work experienceHands-on experience on instrument calibration and maintenance within a manufacturing environmentComputer skills for data entry and business computer applicationsAbility to work with others in a team environmentPreferred:Digital Control experience and/or programming capabilityWork experience in a chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or cGMP or similarly regulated manufacturing industryGood working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)Experience with standardization of systems and calibration procedure developmentExperience with SAP to enter maintenance and calibration data into work ordersOTHER:Requires proficiency in English (to read, write, and understand) to effectively interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, government regulations, and technical procedure manualsRequires ability to performs repetitive work (e.g., stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop kneel, crouch, or crawl) in a variety of duties while maintaining speed and sustained attention without a loss of productionRequires ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsRequires ability to qualify for and adhere to respiratory protective equipment use, as well as other PPE (personal protective equipment)Requires ability to work onsite primarily during day shift hours and work overtime/alternate/off-shift /on-call depending on business needs or emergency basis, and to respond promptly to evening, night, or weekend call-ins on a weekly rotating basisMay require up to 10% domestic travelFor more information on how we support the whole health of our employees throughout their wellness, career and life journey, please visit www.careers.jnj.com.#LI-ONSITEJohnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
