Who We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
• Active Florida Cosmetology License
• Proven management experience (salon manager, operations manager, sales manager, or similar leadership role)
• Strong understanding of salon operations, team leadership, and performance management
• Comfortable balancing leadership responsibilities with a regular behind-the-chair schedule (approximately 20 hours/week

Role Overview
The Shop Manager is responsible for overall shop operations, sales performance, team leadership, and guest experience . This role collaborates closely with Ownership to set goals and execute high-level initiatives, translating strategy into daily action.
T
his position is also an active stylist role and will require approximately 15-20 hours per week behind the chair , delivering exceptional services, leading by example, and staying closely connected to the guest experience and Drybar standards.
You will also partner closely with the Shop Educator to ensure the stylist team is supported, scheduled efficiently, and consistently meeting Drybar brand and service standards.
Role Clarity
• Shop EducatorResponsible for hiring and training stylists
• Shop ManagerResponsible for hiring, training, coaching, and managing Front Desk Associates ("Bartenders"), and collaborating with the Shop Educator to optimize scheduling, performance, and standards across the entire team
Key Responsibilities
Daily
• Optimize labor and proactively manage staffing schedules
• Drive revenue through coaching, real-time feedback, and leading by example
• Uphold Drybar operational, brand, and service standards
• Support Shift Leads (as applicable) and provide hands-on leadership
• Monitor KPIs and make real-time adjustments
• Partner with the Shop Educator to support stylist performance and standards
• Perform services behind the chair as an active stylist (approximately 15-20 hours/week) and model Drybar service excellence
Bi-Weekly/Weekly
• Prepare timecards
• Review and submit payroll reports to ownership prior to bi-weekly payroll processing
• Recognize team wins and review shop goals
• Meet with Ownership and Leadership to align priorities
• Submit reports, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance
• Foster engagement through team shoutouts and communication
• Align with the Shop Educator on staffing needs and performance trends
Monthly
• Collaborate with the Shop Educator on mandatory trainings and performance check-ins
• Manage scheduling strategy to optimize performance and minimize labor waste
• Coordinate shop events, contests, and hiring initiatives
• Partner with Leadership on strategy, team development, and operational improvements
Ongoing
• Drive recruitment, onboarding, and compliance
• Hire, coach, train, and manage Front Desk Associates ("Bartenders")
• Support stylist development alongside the Shop Educator
• Execute product launches, marketing standards, and service excellence
• Build a growth-focused, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
