Position Summary The Manager in Training (MIT) role is a hands-on, developmental leadership position designed to prepare high-potential leaders for future management roles at PopStroke. This position bridges the gap between Hourly Supervisor and Operations Manager, providing structured exposure to venue operations, people leadership, financial controls, and guest experience standards. MITs work closely with the store leadership to learn and execute core management responsibilities while actively leading shifts, supporting hourly team members, and driving operational excellence. Hourly | $25.00 per hour Qualifications Demonstrated leadership ability with a strong desire to grow into a management role Previous supervisory, key-holder, or lead experience preferred (hospitality or entertainment experience a plus) Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment Basic understanding of business operations, including labor management, inventory, and cash handling High level of accountability, organization, and attention to detail Flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and actively participate in leadership development Key Responsibilities Operations & Business Management Assist in overseeing daily venue operations for golf, food & beverage, and guest services Learn and execute opening and closing procedures, including cash, credit card tips, and deposit management Support inventory management, ordering processes, and cost controls Assist with scheduling, labor management, and shift coverage planning Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and guest flow Leadership & Team Development Lead shifts and provide direction to hourly team members Coach, train, and support staff to ensure performance and service standards are met Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment Serve as a role model for PopStroke’s Core Values and service culture Participate in performance discussions and ongoing team development Guest Experience Ensure a high-quality, consistent guest experience across all areas of the venue Handle escalated guest concerns and complaints with professionalism and urgency Support crowd management, wait times, and overall course flow Actively engage with guests to create memorable experiences Compliance & Standards Monitor and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards Ensure compliance with cash handling, tip management, and operational controls Assist in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and brand standards throughout the venue Training & Development Participate in structured Manager in Training development plans Learn core management functions with the goal of progressing into an Operations Manager role Complete assigned projects, cross-training, and leadership assessments Take on increasing responsibility as readiness and performance allow Growth Path This role is designed as a pipeline position into management.
