The Therapist assesses and provides intensive in-home/clinical out-patient family and individual services using an evidence based therapeutic model, providing a full range of services to the family to prevent child/family from disruption and to support the development of permanency options for the children through reunification with the family or other permanency alternatives. The Therapist’s primary objective is to provide a therapeutic service in which the child/youth has the opportunity to heal, to transition through change and to grow. Engages children and families through various therapeutic services, including evidence-based assessments, family and individual therapy, and therapeutic visitation. Completes therapeutic assessment by gathering information from the child, family, and collaterals. Develops and implements treatment plans children and families. Provides intensive in-home and/or outpatient therapy to family/individual in collaboration with the case management team which could include attendance to team meetings, education concerning early care and development, assist in forming a family support network, home-based support services and ancillary family-focused services. Provides therapy to children and families, preparing them for moves, reunification or other appropriate permanency goals. Facilitates and documents evidenced-based therapeutic/parenting groups. Supports resource families to maintain placements and help children work toward permanency. Provides consultation to further permanency goals with children and families. Assists individuals/families in establishing a support network by utilizing family, kinship, and community resources. Provides intervention and support for clients in crisis situations. Ability to work with the court system and follow court protocols including appropriate business attire, completes reports for court, participates in court proceedings when subpoenaed, including testifying. Assesses ongoing treatment and case plan goals and prepare to offer recommendations for reunification, termination of parental rights or other permanency options. Prepared to make recommendations for services needed for the child and family, including mental health and drug and alcohol services, respite care and supervised or unsupervised visitations/interactions. Documents all work activities/contacts with individuals/families and collaterals in agency database. Responsible for creating maximum billable Medicaid hours and submitting necessary paperwork for Medicaid billing or maximum grant hours. Assists in monitoring the overall client satisfaction of the program. Meets with Supervisor regularly to review assigned cases and submits reports as required. Participate in team meetings and group supervision as scheduled. Participate in evidence-based model trainings and attain certifications as required. Reports critical incidents to DCF verbally within 12 hours, written within 24 hours. Implements Saint Francis Ministries policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent Saint Francis Ministries Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), rules, personnel policies, and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statutes, regulations, and contractual terms. Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures. Reports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels. Ensures clients’ rights are protected. Reports critical incidents to DCF verbally within 12 hours, written within 24 hours. Requirements: Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Addictions Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or Counseling from an accredited college or university Prefer Clinical Certification; LSCSW, LCMFT, LCPC Licensed to practice in the State of Kansas Must have experience in family-based services either through educational or work experience. Must be 21 years of age. Must pass a drug screen, MVR, KBI, Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry Clearance check and an Adult Registry check. FBI Fingerprint check if relocated to Kansas in the last 5 years. Lifting requirements of 50 lbs. Must have valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
