Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for bulk material handling equipment.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, sales, and service teams to ensure designs are practical and meet customer needs.
• Conduct testing and analysis to validate designs and troubleshoot issues.
• Support product improvement initiatives and contribute to R&D efforts.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality procedures.
• Other job duties as assigned with each specific role.
Our Salina Locations:
• Vortex Dry Bulk & Solids Facility (1725) – Primary production site for bulk and solids handling components.
• Spectrum Metalcraft (304) – Custom metal fabrication, abrasive blast and precision work.
• Hamar Automation (850) – Primary CNC Machining and Air Cylinder assembly

Requirements
What we're looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree an Engineering related field (Mechanical, Industrial, etc).
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Nice to have (but not required):
• Experience with pneumatic systems or bulk material handling equipment.
• Familiarity with FEA or other simulation tools.
• Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge.
