At SPL , we turn science into impact. We are seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven Client Services Specialist II to join our Client Services team in Reading, PA . In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between clients and internal teams, helping ensure projects are set up accurately, communications are clear, and deliverables are completed on time and in compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.

What You’ll Do
• Coordinate client accounts within the Public Bathing, Private Well, NPDES, and SDWA market segments;
• Support Project Managers and the overall analytical process by setting up and maintaining client accounts and projects in LIMS and associated systems;
• Prepare quotations and pricing requests for existing clients following required approvals;
• Communicate and coordinate incoming projects with field, laboratory, and sample receiving staff to ensure client expectations and organizational commitments are met;
• Review and monitor workorders to ensure accurate configuration in LIMS and proper billing of all services;
• Respond to client service requests, data inquiries, feedback, and general questions in a timely and professional manner;
• Communicate issues, updates, or questions from internal teams to clients and provide appropriate solutions;
• Upload subcontract laboratory results into LIMS and assist with related subcontracting tasks;
• Answer telephones, assist walk-in clients, accept samples, and support sample login as needed;
• Provide backup support to coworkers during vacation periods, absences, or high-volume workloads;
• Assist with bottle preservation and related sample-handling tasks, including work in warehouse or Sample Receiving areas;
• Deliver accurate and complete client deliverables within required turnaround times (TAT), including sampling supplies, paperwork, sample pickups, reports, invoices, and EDDs;
• Notify clients of results outside regulatory limits within one hour of review in LIMS;
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position and training provided.
Requirements
What Makes You a Great Fit
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in science or business preferred;
• Minimum of 2 years of customer service or administrative support experience with client-facing responsibilities required, preferably in a laboratory, technical, or professional services setting;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat;
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills;
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Your Schedule and The Fine Print
• Full-time Monday-Friday position with regular onsite presence required;
• Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed to meet client or workload demands;
• Primarily office-based role with occasional exposure to laboratory or sample receiving areas.
