Staff Accountant
Position Overview
The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the finance team by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for numbers.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain the general ledger.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience (public or corporate).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
