The Pallet Jack Operator is responsible for transporting all palletized products to their designated locations prior to shipment. This role ensures that product is consistently available on the production floor to prevent downtime and communicates proactively with the supervisor if a potential slowdown may occur due to product shortages.
The Pallet Jack Operator may also assist with the staging and loading of Bell & Evans products in preparation for customer shipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are representative of the position; other duties may be assigned:
• Follow supervisor direction to maintain adequate product flow on the production floor.
• Prepare pallets for safe handling and accurately build combo bins as required.
• Perform pre-operational checks on the pallet jack to ensure proper working condition.
• Consistently follow safe work practices while operating pallet jack equipment.
• Take a proactive role in ensuring product safety and quality by immediately addressing and reporting any concerns.
• Accurately consume and containerize product labels to maintain correct inventory records.
Required Qualifications (Due to the high volume of applicants, only candidates meeting the minimum qualifications will be considered for interviews.)
• High school diploma or GED preferred , but not required.
• 6–12 months of prior pallet jack operating experience preferred.
• Ability to regularly lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds .
• Strong verbal communication skills to effectively interact with supervisors and team members.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
