Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Audit Senior Manager to lead our auditing team and manage audit engagements. This role involves overseeing the audit process, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic insights to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting and possess excellent leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion.
• Supervise and mentor audit staff, providing guidance and support.
• Review audit work papers and reports for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships to foster trust and loyalty.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in audits.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Active CPA license.
• Minimum of 7 years of recent public accounting audit experience
• Demonstrated success managing complex client relationships and multiple concurrent engagements.
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and government/nonprofit audit standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and audit software (Caseware, ProSystem fx, or similar).
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed.
Preferred Experience
• Experience with audits of government entities, utility districts, or nonprofit organizations, hospitality, construction and real estate.
• Familiarity with Uniform Guidance (Single Audit) engagements.
• Comfort presenting financials and audit reports to boards and audit committees.
• Track record of mentorship, staff development, and training leadership.
