Job Summary The team member is responsible for performing a variety of duties within the Tray Pack Department, including but not limited to wiping trays, styling, handling, and processing chicken products to fulfill customer orders. This role requires attention to detail and adherence to food safety and quality standards. The team member is expected to take a proactive role in ensuring that safe, high-quality products are produced by promptly addressing any safety or quality concerns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Sorting/Styling: Place products into trays on the conveyor belt, ensuring proper orientation, quantity, and placement according to specifications. Remove and downgrade any defective products and place them in rework trays.
• Quality Inspection: Inspect products and trays for any foreign materials. If foreign material is found, immediately notify the lead or supervisor, stop using the affected products or trays, and follow QA foreign material procedures.
• Wiping: Use assigned paper towels to wipe the edges of trays, ensuring they are free from contamination or excess liquid before sealing.
• Safety and Quality Compliance: Follow all company safety, quality, and production standards at all times.
Education and Experience • Previous experience in a production or food processing environment is preferred but not required.
• No formal education is required for this position.
Language Skills • Ability to communicate effectively in English and/or Spanish.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write basic reports and correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
Days: Monday-Friday
Hours: 3:30pm-1:30am
