Location: Athens, GA (Onsite Role) Duration: 12 months + higher possibility of conversion into full time. Work schedule: Mon-Fri (8 am - 4:30 pm) Weekend OT required once a month. Key Duties: Animal care, feeding, sanitation, and equipment maintenance. Restrain and observe animals; administer treatments as directed. Conduct clinical observations and collect research samples. Perform and assist with euthanasia and necropsy under supervision. Skills: Ability to handle physical demands including lifting to 70 pounds, work in extreme environments, and work closely with animals (no allergies). Strong attention to detail, teamwork, sound judgment, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn rapidly and maintain professionalism under pressure. Must be willing to work directly with animals during ante-mortem and post-mortem procedures. This person must not have allergies to animals or livestock/feed dust. Education: High School diploma or equivalent degree (GED).
