Why This Role Matters As Assistant Manager , you will be a key part of the theatre’s leadership team, working alongside the General Manager to supervise and coordinate our staff, optimize operations, and uphold a premier guest experience. Core Responsibilities Co‑lead daily operations with the GM: scheduling, managing resources, and driving execution of theatre and Marquee Suites initiatives. Hire, train & develop team members in both food & beverage and entertainment settings, fostering growth and performance consistency. Oversee inventory & amenities , including concessions, Marquee Suites, and promotional events in collaboration with marketing. Enforce quality, safety, and cleanliness standards across the facility. Cultivate a positive culture , using strong communication and mediation to resolve staff and guest challenges professionally. Support systems and record‑keeping activities: licensing, scheduling, employee files, and compliance with company policies. Hands‑on leadership : Selling tickets, staffing the snack bar, assisting in auditorium operations—everything from front‑of‑house to PM close‑out. Represent management during evenings, weekends, and select holidays as availability demands. What We’re Looking For Essential Experience: At least 3 years in food & beverage management with clear outcomes (e.g., hiring, cost control, team supervision). Minimum 2 years in entertainment-based environments—movie theatres, live events, or similar—preferably in a leadership capacity. Leadership & Skills: Proven supervisory or assistant manager experience in customer-centric, high-volume settings. Strong problem-solving and decision-making under pressure. Excellent communication , interpersonal, and conflict-mediation capabilities. Comfortable with POS systems , scheduling tools, and basic computer proficiency.
