Maintenance Technician – Location: Newberry MT | Athens, GA Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour Sign-On Bonus: $2,500 (paid after 90 days) Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday + Overtime/On-Call About the Role We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join the Newberry MT property team in Athens, GA. This is a direct hire opportunity offering stable, full-time employment with great benefits and a sign-on bonus. The ideal candidate will have some experience in maintenance—especially within multifamily or student housing—but we’re open to training the right person with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential units and property facilities. Respond to work orders and resolve maintenance requests promptly and professionally. Assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs as needed. Maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of the property. Participate in an on-call rotation and handle emergency maintenance requests. Requirements Prior maintenance experience preferred (multifamily or student housing a plus). Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Must be able to work overtime and participate in on-call rotations.
