Manufacturing Engineering Technician
About Us
We are developing next-generation bipolar battery technology and are ramping up a pilot manufacturing line to support engineering development, validation, and early customer programs. We’re looking for a motivated, hands-on technician to join our team and gain real experience in battery assembly, testing, and pilot-scale production.
As a Mechanical/Manufacturing Technician, you will support day-to-day operations on the bipolar battery pilot line. You’ll work closely with engineers and technicians to build prototype batteries, run tests, document results, and help improve our assembly and packaging processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building things, solving problems, and learning how hardware moves from concept to production.
Responsibilities
• Perform hands-on battery assembly, including preparation of components, stacking operations, and module build-up
• Conduct battery testing, including electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests
• Assist with battery packaging and preparation for shipment
• Operate small tools, fixtures, and pilot-line equipment
• Maintain organized workspaces, follow safety procedures, and contribute to process improvements
• Document build steps, test results, and any observed issues with close attention to detail
• Work with engineers to troubleshoot build problems and propose solutions
• Support general pilot-line tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For
• Strong hands-on skills—experience with building, prototyping, machining, repairing, or assembling hardware
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing or lab environment
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow work instructions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
• Interest in batteries, energy storage, or hardware development is a plus
• Previous lab, shop, or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required
What You’ll Gain
• Real-world experience in pilot manufacturing and battery development
• Exposure to prototype build processes, quality control, and engineering workflows
• Mentorship from engineers developing new energy-storage technologies
• A chance to make meaningful contributions to early-stage hardware development
This position is full-time on-site, temporary for 6 months, with the potential to turn permanent for the right candidate.
