Heartland Early Education, Salina
TERM :
40 hours/week,
261-day (full year)
Monday through Friday
REQUIREMENTS :
A Bachelor's Degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling or another related field is required. Prior home visiting experience preferred. Strong communication, problem-solving and relationship-building skills are required, along with the ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule, including home visits. Valid Kansas driver's license is required.
Bilinguals (Spanish/English) are encouraged to apply.
DUTIES :
As a Family Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting low-income families with children age three to five. Key responsibilities include:
* Build positive, supportive relationships with families.
* Conduct home visits to assess needs and set goals.
* Connect families to community resources and services.
* Support family engagement, attendance, and parent involvement activities.
* Assist with enrollment and meet documentation requirements.
* Partner with teachers to support children's learning and development.
* Maintain accurate records in compliance with Head Start standards.
SALARY :
Based on years of experience and education.
Classified Salary Schedule - Range 23.
Base pay starts at $21.35/hr.
