CNC Machinist
The Role: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machinist who is proficient in CNC Programming . This is not just an operator role; we need someone who can take a drawing, program the part, set up the machine, and run it to completion with high precision. Key Responsibilities:
• Program, Set Up, & Operate: Create programs (G-code/Conversational) for CNC Mills and Lathes. Set up tooling, fixtures, and workholding independently.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining operations and dimensional specifications.
• Precision Machining: Manufacture high-quality parts to tight tolerances from raw stock (metals and plastics).
• Quality Control: Inspect your own work using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure parts meet customer specifications.
• Problem Solving: Work closely with other employees to determine and execute efficient manufacturing techniques.
• Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace and perform routine machine maintenance.
Requirements & Qualifications:
• Experience: 3+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist.
• Programming Ability: Must be proficient in CNC programming (Fadal, Fanuc, Hurco, G-Code)
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with manual machining (mills/lathes) is a huge plus.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to hold tight tolerances and take pride in the cosmetic finish of parts.
• Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a family-shop environment.
Why Join Bob Hunt Machine Co?
• Stability: Join a long-standing, 4th-generation business with a strong reputation in the community.
• Variety: Escape the boredom of high-volume factory production. Work on different parts and challenges every week.

• Competitive Pay: Based on experience and programming capability.
How to Apply: Please send your resume outlining your programming experience to bobhuntmachine@outlook.com or stop by our shop at 120 Paradise Blvd, Athens, GA 30607 between 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM to fill out an application.
